Where are some good websites to buy some D-series engines? Like the D16A8, D16A9, D16Y8, D16Z6, and the JDM D15. thanks in advance.

how much would i pay for a junkyard engine like that? i would rather buy it from a store though because i would know that engine is actually working and isn't beat to shit. you know any other websites besides hmotorsonline.com?

I agree, buying from a junkyard, while cheaper, is much more of a gamble. Plus, you won't find eveything you need for the swap in one neat package. Honestly, I don't know of any other sites that sell d-series swaps. They're out there, though. Search on google and see what turns up. And eBay is bound to have a few. I know that hmotorsonline has been reliable for many people, however. You might want to check them out.

im ready to swap my engine out (it broke) and need a d16y8 just like ya'll were talkin about, but was curious to know if i can just swap about the block and head or whatever is wrong. the ecu tranny and everything else is fine...is that a feasible plan? also, can i put the b20 (or something comparable) in without doing tranny, ecu, and head work?

Block would be fine to swap out but it'd depend on what motor you have in there now as to whether the head and ECU would work.
If you put in a b20 you'll have to use a b-series tranny and ecu. You should also start a new thread of your own since this one is 3 months old, and more people might respond if you started a new one.
