Hi, Ijust wanted to know if anyone here has the same problems with their elbows as me. I have'nt been to the doctor, but I know all the signs of tendinitis.I can go to the gym, I tried to lift a little, with some success. It's only if I lift it a certain way.Like,if I lift a mug of beer it sometimes hurts like hell.Any suggestions,or advice would be greatly appreciated.

You may just need to strengthen the muscles around your elbow to give it some stability. But then again I'm no expert. I suggest going to the doctor. It's not worth risking further injury.

Try this (http://www.elbowpaincentral.com/Elbow_Pain_Products/Magnetic_Band-It_Elbow_Support.htm) , I picked this brace up after my doctor recommended I get one. It's a bit pricey, but the thing really works. Also, if you can, take some time off from the gym. A month off, plus wearing that brace every day really helped me a lot.

I also had the same problem. I messed up both my elbows in wrestling and all i did was just take it easy, get a hold of a brace like sideshowrich stated and just ice it and heat it. It'll take time but trust me it helps alot

first of all its tendonitis... which is the swelling of the sheath around your tendon (the thin "plastic wrap" around your tendons). if the pain is on the little bumpy thing on the outside of your elbow, it's probably lateral epicondylitis... fancy name for "tennis elbow". if you go to the doctor all they're going to tell you is to take some anti-inflammatory medications and i guarantee that they'll tell you to ice it after physical activity, give you either advil (ibuprofen) or aleve (naproxin sodium) and tell you to take 4 weeks off. i know all this geeky info because im studying pre-med. the main thing is to listen to your body if it's telling you not to do anymore, don't do anymore. but don't be a wimp... if you can work through it, do it. ice it every night and take 800mg Ibuprofen 3 times a day (couple of weeks) with some food/milk and see if that helps at all. hope that helped...
