Can the tamiya primer we use for plastic bodies be used on photetched metals?
There's another primer by tamiya which is specifically for metals but do i really need it since the usual primer is said to be for plastic and metal?
thx

Yep, I can vouch that any Tamiya primer will work on PE, gray, white, or the metal-specific stuff. I've used all 3.

You should prob. scuff the PE with fine sand paper and clean it with lacquer thinner before priming and painting it.
The metal primer is intended for 'white metal' and I'm not sure it would work any better on stainless steel.
