Rattling sound

I have a 97 Corolla and there has been a rattling sound whenever my car is on in park. But when I put the car in drive or reverse, the rattling stops but when I put it back in park, the rattling starts again. I don't know where the sound is coming from. Does anyone know what the problem could be? It's weird that the sound is only on when the car is in park... Ugh!
Thanks.
Thanks.

you might be missing the rubber piece to one of your hangers on your exhaust. Does it come from the bottom of the car?

Could just be a rough idle.

What's the rough idle? Is that going to be a big problem? And how do I fix it?
Also, what's the rubber hanger and where is it located on the exhaust? Thanks guys.

if you look under your car, there are rubber hangers that holds the exhaust pipe in place but act as dampener.
Idling is when the engine running but it is not under load (driving the transmission) and the gas pedal is not press down. Basicly the engine is running and the car is sitting there.
If you have a rough idle that means your engine is not running correctly when idling

You need to know what is the problem first in order to fix it, so go find out what is it first. Rough idle or missing a rubber hanger? Perherps it might be neither?
Simulate the condition for the noise and find out where the sound coming from, you will probably need to get down and look under the car (can't expect us to tell you what the solution when you haven't identify what the problem is).
