This is awesome progress, really put the kit into perspective. I was always confused on how to build a kit like this, but you really helped me understand how to construct it. Thanks.

Maybe you can take few pict on the car, then see it from the pict and is better than using your naked eye to see the different. Then from there, shape the size to make equal. That's what I'm doing it now and is my :2cents:

looks good! after you have the basic shape u want try useing Bondo spot glazing putty. its at the auto store and is in a orange tube! dries fast as hell when applied thin and sands easily. doesnt leave a million air pocket holes like the tamiya stuff does. i use the bondo from start to finish on my kits! try it

tpliquid
03-23-2004, 05:12 PM
werd. my friend got that for his lorinser kit and it workd great. i might just try that. but with the tamiya epoxy smooth type. i barely got any airbubbles. but i got some small gaps i need to fill. thanx for heads up

that looks awesome, just like the GP Sports kit. Are you going to stick with those rims on the car? and dont do a CF sumroof, keep it the color of the car

robrex
06-16-2004, 01:52 AM

is the hood gonna open or r u jsut gonna keep it shut? cuz more detial under the hood would make this thing a beast and what about turbo / intercooler, any plans 4 those?

tpliquid
06-16-2004, 03:59 AM
imma keep the hood open. it zlready has a small turbo. im thinking abuot putting a intercooler in the front.

Very cool model. I'd do a CF sunroof (and hood) because that generation of RX-7 were porkers and any weight saving is good weight saving. I agree about doing the motor up with some more detail, but it looks cool already. Painting it black? Great car! Can't wait to see it.
