for a high boost application, what would be the best style/material composition to run on the exhaust manifold. i don't have any ac to start with so i was thinking of running a tubular stainless steel. i have heard that stainless steel can crack easily in a different forum.. is this true??

I think stainless steel would be the best choice. Most kits come with cast iron bu they are known to crack. I have never heard anyone say that their SS manifold cracked.

i see, thanks... yeah i'm planning on running tons of stainless steel parts... mostly because i've got a good friend who is a professional welder/machinist w00t w00t. so he can get me lotsa cheat stainless steel and make me prettymuch whatever part i like... anyone know if it's super hard to fabricate a manifold?

You just need the flanges and then a car and motor to do a mock up on, really nothing to it once you get it laid out ;)

i see... so would that be very difficult to do on a motor that's in a car? for the manifold i'm planning on making it while my new engine is still out of the car.. but i was planning on getting my friend to do me up some custom headders to hold me over until that time.

The reason i said to do the mock up with the motor in the car is b/c yoiu will need to know how to turn the pipes so that you don't kit anything else in the car, like the radiator etc. Also you would have to make a down pipe too and that would have to be the right length and bent the right way so that it would align with the exhaust.
Haha man you live in Canada. Do you want to drive all the way down here to Atlanta? lol

yeah, i'm gunna get him to custom fab. me a whole new exhaust system with some 304 stainless... i'm pretty sure he knows what he's doing, the only thing i'm kinda sketchy about is where the headders attatch(sp?) to the engine and how to get all that exact so there's no venting or any of that bad stuff... oh yeah.. i'm thinkin about goin with the tanabe racing medallion canister for the exhaust.. heard anything about that?
and i dunno, i wouldn't mind.. american dollar=killing canadian dollar so i could make some thick coin ;)
