when i bought my 97 rs, i thought that it was supposed to have the electronic motor. i found out that it does not. does anyone know whether or not my car is supposed to have the electronic motor? i don't like having to slam the trunk to get it to close - not good for my audiobahns.
if it is supposed to have the electronic motor, does anyone know where i can get one? how much work is involved in installing the motor? about how much it would cost to have someone install it for me?

i dont know for sure, but i think the electronic motors were a third gen thing, if you have to really slam your lid, its probly not adjusted right. and if you have it adjusted (not sure exactly how to do that on a fourth gen) it will probly close much easier.

alright. i'll try adjusting it and i'll see if that helps or not. i have to exert an excessive amount of force for the trunk to close. i hope it's just a simple adjustment, something that i can do myself
