I am trying to swap a 1.8t engine into my 1998.5 (late model) gti. I have been trying to find the engine rebuilt on the internet but i am having no luck. Does anyone know any good websites with good prices that may have the complete engine and tranny?

If you're willig to go used try:

http://www.car-part.com

You can probably get a complete drivetrain, wiring, ECM, etc... from a fairly low mileage vehicle.
