97 Grand am

I am not the first owner of this car. We bought it then 4 weeks later had to replace the battery after it died 2 times and we saw the cell was cloudy. it was out of the car for 4 days i think then after installing the new one the car wont start. Ive been to the dealer 5 times and they want too much to look at it.I found a remote function actuation module in the trunk and on the web it said its a clicker device. we didnt even know it once had a clicker. its been down 3 months. I removed the black box unplugging it from the jack but its still not starting.. HELP please write [email protected] thanks

The keyless entry unit you are messing with has nothing to do with the car starting or not. My guess is that if everything's OK, you have a Passlock system failure. These systems are terrible. Tell me, does the security light flash or stay solid on the dash? Do you have more than one ignition key?

is that remote thingy in the trunk by the left side wheel well and have a blue clip? if it is , thats the 6X9's amplifier. Leave the key in the on position for 15 minutes then starter up , if it dont start check all your Ign.Sw. or Ign. related fuses. hope it helps.
