Just ot start the thread. Nothing done yet but planing...
The pictures will speak more than I can, I hope!
1: the poor crappy kit of Heller 2CV: no scribed panel lines, flaws everywhere... and no clear part nor tires in the box! :disappoin
2: the engine and chassis I plan to put inside. You all recognized which one, I'm sure! :screwy:
3: the wheels I plan to use: actually, the Tamiya Porsche-Boxster ones... :p
A lot of work to come! By the way, I'm not a putty user... I'll try to make most of my mods using styrene... Wish me good luck! :loser:

I've started to work on it this W-E, cut the Modena rear and front chassis to fit inside the 2cv one... I already knew I'd have to make the rear wings wider, but know I'm thinking of doing the same for the front ones... I should have named this thread "Hot Rod 2cv"!!! lol!
Pics will come later this week...
And thanks for the kind comments!

Tanks for the link and pics... but I already knew them... lol! I'm a fast and furious web-surfer! Anyway, I think what I'm planning to do will be completely different from those...
You'll have to wait a few days for the first build-up pics, I'm actually working on the chassis, and I may choose to build one from scratch, 'cause narrowing the modena one seems to difficult... and stupid! lol!
Good thing at this point: I managed quite easily to fit the Boxster's brakes onto the modena's suspensions...

Hi there! I love the 2cv and I also own one! So, if I can help you: please private-message me. If you want, I can mail you some pics of my 2cv (1:1 version, the 1:24 version isn't finished yet), you might like the colors!
By the way, in the Netherlands there is already one 2cv with a 5,7 litres Oldsmobile engine.

http://www.2cv.nl/publicaties/v8/index2.html
Sorry, both in Dutch.
If I'm correct, there are even more 2cv's with V8 engines, a 'Jeeptroën' (a Jeep chassis with a 2cv top on it, the top is 'stretched' to make everything fit and there is a non-road legal French 2cv with a V8 (non-road legal because of the strict French laws).
If wanted, I can find some sites with converted 2cv's for you.
