My friend has a '96 gt that's pretty nice, custom shelby blue stripes and stuff. Also he's got a shift comp. that makes it kick a li'l harder and flowmaster exhaust. We've only run em a couple times w/ my stock '90 gt ( both autos) and the first time i got smoked. He came around a corner and stomped it and I followed suit, but i got stuck in the low end of 2nd gear and he was gone by the time i got to about 80 :banghead: . I mean, i could barely see his tail lights. The second time, I was ready to turn into a dealership and he went by me and flipped me the bird to say hi, so I forgot the dealership and went after him. I got to the back of his bumper at around 45 m.p.h. and he stood on the throttle and we went at it. By the time we let off i was at his front axel with my bumper and doing around 120 :evillol: . I never really knew how the holeshot was so important, even at a rolling start. Ever since i was a freshmen i thought that car was badass and thought it couldn't be beat. You know, just one of those inexperienced kid things. I now have new respect for my ever faithfull 5.0. Now, let's get building!

The only reason you got smoked the first time is cause with the shift computer. His auto will kick down a gear lot sooner and hold it each gear longer with firmer upshifts. Go get yaself a nice shift-kit for ya AOD and in the same sequence you'll keep up.
