2001 - Turn Signals

My turn signals quit working but I can't find the flasher. Does anyone know where the turn signal flasher is located? The car is actually a 2001 Prism but I'm told that the 2001 Corolla is essentially the same car except for the body so I thought I would try in this forum.

I found the flasher hidden behind the left kick panel that covers the left pillar inside the car.
