ok i have been planning on getting a tein basic coilover system for my teg for about a year now it would cost about $700. now that the time to buy has rolled around I feel like I may want to go a cheaper route (even though 700 isn't bad for the setup).
Anyway my question is what if i go the aftermarket shock/strut and sleeve coilover route? will it be much cheaper for me? will I be able to find an acceptable quality setup for a good price? If so please let me know the product/brands that you feel will work well?
All i'm really looking for is a setup that will let me adjust height (winter/summer height) and will be at least stock quality or better (no e-bay no-name garbage...unless you say they aren't garbage). Thanks.

you can't get better than that tein system for 700 bucks. they come with shocks built to work with the springs. that's your best bet man. regular koni yellows are like 500 plus some ground controls or skunk2 adjustable springs, that's a lot and it won't be as good as the teins. you should scout the prices on some sites. check modacar.com and others. but if i had the money i would definately get the teins.
