i want to do this, but i only have money for 1 model.
i'm thinking this will work, but correct me if i'm wrong.
first off, ya get a c-west rx-7 (for the headlights). then get a veilside rx-7 for the groundfx, and a veilside 240sx for the rims. then if its possible, put the veilside groundfx on the cwest body, and the 240sx rims on the c-west. if that works, then all that is missing is the paintjob.
here are pics:

Be a expensive way off going about it.
Not sure if it can be done......but with a little bit of cutting and putty you may be able to do it.
I'd be interested to see the out come

you can order the wheels alone.. don't need to get the entire car for it.

yeah, thats what i thought, i was just lookin and i saw those rims in the kit, i havent looked for those rims alone, so ya only gotta buy 2 kits and some rims.

I have all the parts and since the kits are the same brand the pieces all fit. You will need a left drive dash. I am going to do this, but dont know how to do all the graphics. I thought about printing them myself , but you cant print silver. Any Ideas?
I am working on the C-West Rx-7 and waiting for Mines Silvia paint to dry so i can polish it.

The silver splinters on the front could probably be done with lots of patience and some bare metal foil, cut into crooked strips, then polished down...

What is that thing on the side? Is it green in the middle or is it silver too?
Here's what I mean by layers:
a. Red base coat
b. Big bare metal foil silver patch
c. red and clear decal for red slivers
http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/images/icons/icon4.gif 1 minute drawing!
http://files.automotiveforums.com/uploads/416701rx7red1.jpg
The decal in step c could have that green thing on it, too. That would have to be custom printed...
edit: also, it seems like a waste to use the C-West kit just for the light assemblies.... :( I bet there's a do-it-yourself way... ;)

On the C-west iou have to cut out where the original lights are and put the lights and the clear cover. My box came with two trees of the lights so I am putting them with out the cover. i am saving the clear and other set pieces for the F&f version. The side decals have a space ship.

Hehehe... are they supposed to some with two sets?
I bet I could make clear covers from scratch by using my Tamiya RX-7 R1 as a template. They wouldn't be perfect, but... ;)
Do you guys have better, clearer pics of the side graphics?

I have a bucket of RTV (room-temperature vulcanizing) rubber to use. You slop it on the original and let it cure, and when you peel it off, it's your mold. Model cement doesn't stick to it (at least so far). I don't know how think I can get it and still have it be clear, though.... I need to do some experimenting. ;)
