need some help!!

today i was driving around on country roads(kind of rough roads), not really drive it hard, but when i got back on the highway the service engine soon light came on and my blazer started shifting alot harder then normal. i am kind of stumped on what it could be.

i have a 96 blazer s-series 4.3 4x4 128,000 miles

E series tranny....so something is amiss, you need someone with a scan tool capable of putting the PCM to sleep and reading the TCM...
