1995 Park Ave Ultra climate control problem

The automatic climate control works intermitently usually blowing cold air instead of hot. After engine warm up, if I lower the temp setting clear down then raise it back up it usually works O.K. After several minuites the display will flash 75 degrees. Any ideas?

I will ask the same question Ive asked others, have you disconnected the battery lately or just before it started happening?

I have a similar problem - the climate control beeps and shows parts of the numbers (LED style numbers) continuously - it does so whenever it goes over a bump in the road or upon touching the control and jiggling it slightly.

This occurred right after a minor accident which damaged the rear bumper. A possibly related problem was that the battery went dead about 3 weeks after this started happening and the battery would not recharge and had to be replaced, even though it was a 36/100 battery that was only 9 months old. One mechanic said that the alternator was not delivering full charge - taking it to another mechanic said that the wire out of the alternator was not fully "plugged in." and that after pushing it in all the way, the voltage and amps were within normal specs.

Would someone suggest what I should do about it at this point?

Yes it came back from the transmission shop like this. off and warm don't seem to work in getting to the trouble codes like the 1994 is supposed to any thoughts

I took the climate control panel out and opened it up. It was merely a loose resister or capacitor (it was a large rectangular brick with a wire out each end) that was no longer making contact with the board. I had a friend solder it back on and that fixed it. It was simple to get the climate control box out, and it was simple to diagnose once it was opened.

did you have to do anything to reset it, to erase the trouble code stored?
