replacing turbo

Is replacing a turbo difficult? I was thinking about doing it myself, but I want advice from some of you pros who know's about this. What are the necessary things that must be done? (note, I'm just replacing my dead ct26 turbo to another stock one). Are there any mods that needs to be change, and what is your advice on how hard it will be to do it. Thanks.
