You left out what kind of work those other cars have.
Regardless, whether or not a car is faster does not gaurantee a win.
There are other factors driver's ability and reaction time.
There really is little benefit to theorizing on the Internet about who will win.
It's like talking about playing with your self.
It's only really fun if you go do it.
... how about you go race 'em and tell us how you did? :)

Who cares who will win. Just race them! = ) Anyways with just an intake and the rest stock you will lose. If all drivers are equal then they should take you. You have a better chance against the talon but with mods those cares are fast. Remember a talon/eclipse awd with intake filter, dp, exhaust and boost controller would run 12s easily. Yeah, let us know what happens after you race! = )

The Camaro does have more 1/4 performance right out of the box.
The Talon should be slightly slower than you, EXCEPT they will have an easier time launching since they have AWD.

Your car is only fast because of how slow it was before. lol. Trust me, when went from a volvo 940 to a maxima. I thought the max was fast. Then i got my 240sx and i thought the 240 was fast. then i got my eclipse and thought my 240 was slow. Then i modded my eclipse and was like WAO. my mr2 felt like a slow pos compared to my eclipse even i ran 13.4 in the mr2. to make a long story short, with your car being stock with just the jdm motor, i would agree with the other guy. the camaro ss would rape you both and never look back. Good drive or not, if that camaro is an automatic, all he has to do is stomp on the gas and you guys are done for. the eclipse/talon has a traction advantage. with just intake and exhuast he will not pose a threat, only off the line but if he has a boost controller then you guys are done. ok enough internet racing, go race for real now! lol

91dx, if you think the apexi power intake makes your stock car fast, ride in hydes car. your car will probably run high mid to high 13s, low 14s. ride in a 12 or 11 sec mr2 and you wont want to get back into your car. = )

hey man whats wrong with honda? i still drive a honda and although i love my mr2, i pay respect to my 90 accord. And besides, although in most cases honda's are all show and no go, there are many fast hondas out there, especially the ones that look really beat up... heh. Can someone say cheesefrog's civic hatch? But anyways back to the main topic, i dun think you should race the camaro since it'd be pointless, its like playing basket ball with a 12year old, its just not fair. The DSM should be a good race 1/4 or highway, but if it were me in your shoes, i take it on the highway!

if you want to learn about fast hondas go to
http://www.theoldone.com
i've also seen a 575fwhp prelude, it was awesome
basically any car can be fast, just depends on how much cash you want to put into it, so pick a car you like the looks of, then worry about making it fast :-)

it take a lot of money only depending on where you spend it. i have a honda civic and driving that thing i have no idea why anyone would try to race it, without doing a motor swap and going turbo. but thats not why i have that car either? $385 insurance for the year and i can put 87 octane and still get 37mpg! lol. for you to take the camaro, you need atleast a boost controller and afc or something, and dont forget to unlpug the factory boost sensor so you wont hit boost cut.

i know this is abusing 91dx's thread but a question for roll hard, where did you get those snorkel's (or whatever they are called) for the MR2? I have never seen them before, and if you do make them, i might be interested.

HondaChili, they are called "Tom's Scoops" ... the original ones form Japan are extrememly exspensive, but there are lots of coppies running aorund the U.S.
Check out EBAY, the MR2 classifieds (http://mr2.xcars.com/) and the MR2 Board's for sale sections.
They should run you around $100 each used ... $150 new.

I no longer have them. I sold them a while back. If you see those pictures they are old. I have the Doluck ones now. http://www.rpipower.com/mr212.jpg Those are the Doluck ones that i have now. they are about $700 from japan, but can now get them in the USA. There are a lot of copies of the Toms scoop but good luck trying to get them to fit. You will probably have problems trying to open your engine lid. I went with these because the Doluck ones because they actually have an air channel within the scoop that directs air. I have a temp sensor at the intake and it does drop a few degrees while i drive. dont ever get stuff from erubuni or vis, etc. all those replica kits are crap and you will end up paying more for the body shop to get it to work than you would have to pay more for the real stuff. good luck !
