Good job Genopsyde, you wont ever regret gettin a corvette servo, ever! you dont realize how much power that thing gives you and its extremely cheap to buy a new one. Id say they are the biggest power booster for the cheapest money you can buy. A good place to show you how to do your installation is http://www.sethirdgen.org/servo.htm It shows you how to do your installation and even shows you the difference in sizes of the servos. You were smart on buying this product and you will see how smart you are after you drive it.

P.S. Make sure you dont get any dirt any veins, it happened in my car and it wouldnt let the tranny slip into overdrive. We figured out the problem and it works like a dream!

well, it dont really give you any more power. but it sure as hell improoves performance, by basicly eliminating that longgggggg drawnnn out shift from first to second. its just like BAM!!! your in second. i love it i love it i love it :)

I should say that it gives power back that the stock servo has taken away, or it "frees" up power. IT DRASTICALLY GIVES YOU BETTER PERFORMANCE!

eh, not really power, its very similar to putting in a set of gears. adding a set of 4.10 gears over your stock 2.73 gears will certainly give you a swift kick in the pants, but it hasnt added any hp. same with the servo, all it is is a pressure plate. the camaro servo has a hole in it that is about 2 in across, while the corvette servo has a hole 1 in across. the increased surface area, and smaller hole allows more pressure to be placed on the servo, meaning that it hits the shift harder when the 1st-2nd shift is activated. so its just a relationship of trans fluid pressure on a switch essentialy. has no impact on the engine, and therefore power output. But by making the drivetrain transfer the existing power to the ground more efficiently, it does improove performance drasticly.

I might hafta do that, since i know nothing about tranny's, neither does the old man, and i'll need perfectly detailed instructions with really good photos, the website was informative, but not enuff for me to do it on my own.

I did indeed install it myself, with the trans out of the car and on a workbench tho. didn't really need any out of the ordinary tools tho.

Yea, not too many people remember Hypsi these days. I didn't converse with him much but I know he knew his sh!t and was sad to see him go.

Anyway, this is an old thread. Let's let this one retire.

(FYI, www.transmissionhead.com sells a servo that is larger than the Corvette servo. This is was I put in my 700R4)
