I just sold my older 911 and want to buy a 330 convertible. I got all the info on the net I could and built my car with my desired options. I have two dealers in my area, both are decent and have serviced my prior 740 and 540. Both dealers gave me a price on a 2002 330 within $75.
They basically knocked about $1200 off the sticker of a loaded car and indicated they were doing me a favor because they only had 2 allocated cars for Feb. build. I bought my loaded Audi at about 4% over invoice, why can BMW charge 8% in this economy. Has anyone had any success negociating with their dealers for new cars? Is the 330 that HOT? I would appreciate any imput before I meet with the dealer again nexy week. Thanx

Have you considered Euro delivery? My wife and I just purchased one for pickup in Munich on 3/1/02. We got a good deal, not great, but it beat the retail price by over $4K.

The total price was 8% over European invoice, which is about $2800 BELOW the American invoice price for the car. All in all, we got a fair deal, but you could do better if you tried. We figure the deal is being handled so well it isn't worth shopping around.

Yes, these cars are hard to come by, so even $1200 off is pretty good. I would consider the European route, though if you can travel easily.
