Ok i am definately gonan finally get some headers and i plan on ordering them really soon. I have the 3.8 v6... as im sure most of you know by all of my other questions.lol. I know the Rksport cost more cuz of the ceramic coating. The pacesetter is a better deal but powder coated and the rksport is better i think but i heard the gaskets leak...is this true? Which one would yall reccomend i get? I know the rksport arent street legal or someone told me that but i live in Alabama and it really doesnt matter down here. So which one do yall think i should get?

i would do some yellowpages walkin, and find a place that does jethot coatings, and get a price for a set of V6 headers, coated inside and out. if the cost of the cheaper, non ceramic headers, and coating is less than the ceramic headers (entirely possible) go with the cheaper ones and have em jethot coated. the ceramic will rust through, just takes alot longer, jethot coatings are proven rust proof, and look better, and retain the heat from exhaust far better.

that sounds good to me but i dont know where i would find a place like that around here. I thought about just getting the rksport and getting different gaskets or something.

no headers NEED to be coated, its just a plus. im not going to coat mine, they are black oxide coated already, i think all TES headers are cept the ceramic ones. i suggested the jethot coating cuz he was talking about ceramic coatings.

I don't know if you bought headers yet but I would say no way to RKSport. I think they are suppose to be good? but I had a kid bring a V-6 4th gen into my work( a Mustang Shop?). We aren't assholes and more than capable of doing the job so we took it on for the kid.

The headers bolted up fine to the heads but the RKSport Y-pipe would not line up to seal to the headers... I had to bust the flange on the y-pipe and bolt everything up and weld it in the correct place. Major annoyance!!!! Ended up costing the kid a good chunk of change for all the time I spent on it and we didn't even charge him full billable hours.
