Tach Questions?

Found a steal in a one owner,bone stock 90 dx hatch.First thing on my list is a guage cluster with tach,called around or went by all junkyards in a hours drive that I know about.No one knew of a 90-91 Si,which I know has the tach,but one guy had a 90 4 door w/tach and said it "should" work,another place said the same thing about a 91 wagon.Will it have to be a 90-91 hatch or will any body style 90-91 period?

The one from the 4 door will work, i have one in mine. Dont know for sure about the wagon one but it should work too. Theres also the crx hf which had a tach but the redline is at somethin like 5,500. It works too though.

89 will not work in a 90-91 without rewiring. you have to stick with 88-89 or 90-91 when it comes to the clusters to save yourself from a headache. Oh, and i second a 4 door one working in a hatch, i have an 89 LX 4 door cluster and it works fine. i got it from my local pick and pull for $25.
