Yea..its just so dead in here ya know?Oh well.
Here...i got a question.
Ok...i'm going to need to get a new ECU when i start building my car up.I wanted to get a G-Force ECU.But i cant only find it a Dynamic Racing with the stage 3 upgrade that they have. The stage 3 has underdrive pullys and thats not something i want to get (i'm getting 3SX ones). Is there anyother ECUs out there that do the same?Will/should i get a new ECU if i'm going for the HP numbers that i am?

It tells what the G-Force ECU does there.

did you try www.gtpro.com or all the other tuners listed on 3si.org?

Perhaps we need to have more posts not asking questions. Not things that belong in the off topic forum, but questions/answers don't always turn into long interesting threads like the "how fast" thread.

It's never really been shown that any aftermarket ECU actually does anything. If you want to get one you can, by all means, but I don't know that I'd spend money on it when there really aren't any supporting evidence as to it's HP improvement.
And I haven't been posting alot because, well I've been so busy I haven't had time to be on the computer at all. I'll try and step it up to keep you all entertained

ok that was a bit confusing to read but i think this is what you want:

just followed your link, then went to electronics, then went to ecu upgrade.

i don't get this? i would think that this would easily proove to increase horsepower, in raising the rev limiter alone there is more power to be had. i am sure the extra tuneability and fuel maps would also allow you to increase hp. also any piggyback ecu is needed to really make much better than bpu hp. let alone the aem, that can let you tune so well that you can get lots of extra hp. i guess no, the ecu or piggyback ecu itself is not acctually making hp but the added tuneability is essential for making any real hp. so how has this not been prooven? not flaming (i know you are a smart guy and know 3/S's well) but i do not understand this statement at all.

Hmmmm...so the ECU upgrade doesn't really do anything?Wouldn't it just be like remapping your ECU?Or doing like what Brian La Fuente of GT-Pro did. What he did was...Stock ECU with Techtom daughter board.I know nothing about how to do that and how that system works ( if anyone knows please help me out on that one) but i would think its just remapping the ECU...i think? If so...couldn't you just get a ECU upgrade?Like the one i said?Or whatever you find.

read my last post.
i think it is obvious that aftermarket ecu's do help out. why else would they sell them... after all, they are not altezzas :uhoh:

Well...my question was what does the Techtom daughter board do?What does it do that aftermarket ECUs dont do?
