Help i got choices

I got a offer for assistance to get a Mercedes Benz c230 Kompressor Sports coupe if i forgot this whole Lancer Evo 7 thing. WHAT SHOULD I DO! the Benz is pretty but is it as good as all wheel drive?

THe benz has a 2.3l Super charged Dohc. and its only 26k
but I WANT ALL WHEEL DRIVE.

i really dont know what to do.

Can i get some sugestions?

Dude that Benz is fugly AND slow. Not to mention if you're the type to mod cars, you'll be deeply disappointed with that Benz.

My question is why anyone would want you to forget the EVO. It's not out for at least another year, so there's plenty of time to make a final decision, and a mercedes is, technically speaking, a higher-end, riskier (at least more at risk of being broken into, stolen, and shit) car to own.

I look at it like this: you meet a woman who fits you, looks good to you, performs in all the right ways, but you go off with another ho who looks good as well, but you had a better shot at nailing right away. You'll probably end up lying awake at night thinking about what you gave up.

Listen here Young Jedi - The Force says Get the EVO.

Now...the benz is a hella nice car...it's not as fugly as some cars i've seen, but that ricer peasoup color has got to go. I still say wait for the Evo...not just because i'm in love with the evo, but because it has a wider horizon of modification. PLUS, it's going to be a year long AWD war. All wheel drive is what you need Dippie.

i really do love the evo, its cheaper, faster, (not more powerful, but faster with all wheel drive) and the underdog of the all wheel drive pocket rocket race.
but the Benz is class, plain and simple and if i get the benz, i will get the offer for help on the payments. which i dont need but it will be nice. OH yeah the benz comes with a supercharger. /shrug.

Remember the broader horizon Dippie....Don't get me wrong, the benz is a really nice car. BUT No one in there right mind would ever take that thing out to race. even if it's high 20k low 30k. Annnnnnnnnnnnnd it's two door...that in itself should change your mind, and it kinda looks like a smaller version of the Aztec.

Remember...when buying a benz...your paying for the name, not necessarily the performance.

really, thats something i liked, that and the rear lights and nice front end. That little engine is pretty nice nice, 2.3l supercharged. =D

i dont know. its fun, and nice little car and will run pretty well. also it will run with the rice in Houston. they will be like, WOW look at that benz fly by my ghetto ride.

I dunno, man. the AWD, AYC, and ACD are enough by themselves to make me say EVO, but it's your call. I would've gone a different route anyway, putting offroad mods on the truck, and leaving the evo for people moving and speed, but that's just my preference

I mean...benz's are fuckin nice man, but when i see benz i see someone who has too much money to spen on a car that's not worth while. When i see an Evo...it just kinda reminds me that people put a lot of time and money into a car to make it go faster and look better. Man...just about ANYTHING can dick the riced honda. That doesn't mean you need to buy a benz. Plus what's the point of getting the benz? I already told you your buying the car not the performance.

sounds like fun, we should race in H-town some time, would be nice to meet someone from the boards. I just like the idea of going of the beaten path, taking the car less sopped up. also i never had a refined automobile. i have only had my truck, my corvette and my girls trans am. i want something with a little class, pazzaz and comfort. I will get my evo eventually, i love the car to much to not get one. but i am being offer the chance to get the benz and assistance. my parents like the idea of me intrested in a benz and they are willing to help me pay for it. i never had my parents pay for anything, its been a long hard road and thats something that i really like the idea of. they said they would pay 1/4 of the car. that will help me out and they said when time comes in 2 years, if i want to keep it, i can, if i want to trade it in to mercedes benz and get a new one, they will be willing to help again or i can sell it back to mercedes and by a lancer, that i can. (mercedes has a thing about you personally selling a benz, they will give you good amount of your money back to sell it back to them. go figure) by then they will have the evo 7 refined and all the kinks of moving the Intercooler back and around and shit and it will not have as many bugs.
but by that time, everybody will have one and i will just be following the crowd. i am stuck again. :bloated:

i guess when the time comes around July when i can buy one, i will decided then with a testdrive of each.

And another thing about class. I don't know you personelly, but to own a Mercedies, is like jumping into another class all together. With an Evo. you'll will be in the top of your class. The working, proud, still young, has responsibilities, loves to drive, drives fast when he does, male....or...FEMALE(Just for evochica...Nothin but love).
In the words of Tim Allen, "needs more power," well something like that. Anyway, you can spruce the Mercedies a little, but it will always be a LUXURY CAR, not a sports car. Trust me, you'll look and feel better in a Evo VII.

Hehehe, np raceghost, my pioion ring in my diferntal in my truck just went out so i am going to be looking at cars sooner then i thought. i am going to get mercedes costom made cause, in all truth, i can. One thing i cant do with my Evo. i wish i could. :( but i will wait, cause i do like the Evo ALOT, its a wonderful car, something that shoould always be thought about before any other car.

Its going to be a tough choice.

Your destiny has been chosen, Mercedes it is because Mistsu dropped the ball on the EVOVII. Don't think that there aren't go fast stuff for the Benz, you just have to pay a bit more, but there are alot of parts for it. I've been tuning Benzes since the late 80's when no one knew what rice was and I was an original rice boy with a modded '72 240Z when they were made by Datsun.

Who gives a rats ass if the car isn't comin till next Jan. A wise man once told me patience is a virtue. If you can wait till next Jan. when it comes by then you'll have saved up a significant amount of $$$ for not only a down payment, but mad phat mods.

Some people are saying "I can always buy a new car now and get the Evo when it comes over". Why? So you can get raped on the trade-in value of your new car. What's the point of that? Not only would you have high payments on yer Evo, but you wouldn't have any $$$ for mods.

You seem to like the Benz, so go for it. I would rather let my parents down in an Evo. I would rather call them up and say, "Hello, Dad? I'm in JAIL! Say hi to Mom for me, FROM JAIL!", cause I got busted doing 115mph sideways on the freeway offramp.

Wait for the Evo. And think of this - there are all kinds of kids who love to go around dinging nice cars like Benz, just because of the status is shouts. But they will just walk by the Evo drooling with respect, since it is so pure, so righteous.

That's a damn fine point. Your Evo will be a big risk as well, but never as much as a Benz (unless you crush some ricer on the street and he takes his hurt feelings out on your Evo)

No worries! I'm always down to support people that are in the minority as long as they aren't jackasses, and you seem to be on here 'cuz you dig cars, not to please or impress people. And I still think girls that are into that cars (not the boys that drive them) are a novelty; I try to protect that.

Hey, maybe you should come out to Colorado and give a seminar... It'd be nice if at least a few of the girls around here were into cars, or even just not so bitchy when their men are.:rolleyes: .

P.S. If it's as you say and they're just intimidated to learn, think about the late blooming motorheads that have to ask their friends basic questions about cars; I suppose THAT would be pretty intimidating, too. especially given the way most guys rip on their ignorant friends.

I'll have to try it when I get my evo. Of course, I'm gonna get all the bling bling chrome, 4-inch drop, 4-inch exhaust tip, and about 30 stickers (including some stickers that insinuate i drive a type-r Evo) just so all the ricers in town will like me
