most HP for yer $$$

I've lookin engine swaps up and I see there are a lot of posts here for it, can anyone tell me quick and simple, what engine would be the most HP for amount spent... Friend is trying to get me into getting a 3.4L and then get an aftermarket Turbo.. any ideas?

I've been thinking of doing that exact same thing. I don o how I'd go tho... I guess we both could use some Ideas.
