My Parking Brake light wont turn off, even when i know the parking brake is disengaged. Anyone know what the problem is and how to fix it?

unplug all wires going to the rwal unit under the hood, cycle the ignition while unplugged, key off , replug and then report back

sometimes chevy trucks' parking brake levers will hang a little low and set off the sensor. I have had to wire tie the parking brake up tight on a truck before to stop that problem. See if you can grab the brake lever and move it up and down a little bit. If so, wire tie it up to the dash somewhere

i got my truck back from my friend, he said that it is because the abs went bad and i need to replace it, but it has been out since i bought the truck last july. now instead of staying on, the parking brake light is flashing

Strange that it's blinking. Definitely get it looked at. Mine came on and stayed on and I unplugged the wires from the rwal unit and plugged them back in and the light went out. Had my system checked prior to having this suggested to me and the shop said my ABS system was shot too. Don't know if it is or not, but at least the light is out and I've had 3 shops now confirm my brakes work fine.
