Hi everybody.
Does anybody know how the Spoon Hight camshafts perform? I have a B18B that I'm making into an LS/Vtec with a B16A head so these cams should fit right in. I'm assuming they'remeant to be all motor because they're Spoon but the official website doesn't give profiles or anything, but I know that Spoon parts=instant performance/respect.

imo i would just go with some skunk2 stg.2, ef-1 m22,toda b or jun 3 cams. they will all give you more power then the spoon cams(if tuned properly). the spoon cams were desinged for endurance racing. if you are looking for power go with something else other than spoon. also i heard that these things are a bitch to tune.

Cam choice should be based on application, not mAd r35Pe(7 yO!!!! Anyway, as said before Spoon makes parts mainly for endurance racing, so if drag is you application you SOL. IMO the Todas are the best, because unlike Skunk2 who maintain stock profiles on the low lobes, Toda does not, giving you more power through out your powerband, as opposed to just in vtec, this is of course with the stage 1's and Spec A's. To step up to a bumpier stick means forking out the cash for a valve train to handle the rpms that they make the most power in, which is higher than stock rev limit.
So determaine what your driving style is, low rev around town mover and shaker, or high rev stoplight killer, and then go from there.

i never knew that skunk2's were stock low lobe. they must have a kick in the pants when you hit vtec. i guess that could be a good or a bad thing.

Stage 1's do, I don't have the specs for the others in front of me, but that's how they can maintain a stock idle, and stil produce such good gains up top.
