The plate of glass would be quite cheap.

BTW any idea of the manufacturer? Its aluminum, pushrod (likely American made, then)with a deep skirt. My guess is early '80's Cadillac 4.1 L V8.

I have one in the pic because the other wiper arms strripped the teeth in the bit that connects to the motor arm. So this way I can actually see when I use it before I get a replacement.
