Should I Get Side Skirts? If So, Which, Where?

My base RS model didn't come with the standard side skirts and well I think it would help improve my car's overall image.

I dunno I think it looks kinda naked with out it and well I thought perhaps I can find some stock ones for cheap because I will be repainting the car anyway and may as well include them in before I do.

Maybe I should post a pic of my car and you guys can decide? What I'm looking for is something simple and not excessive and so I thought the stock ones would be perfect.

But I dunno where to look and how much to expect to pay? I will try my local junk yard, but their prices seem on the high side...

I would go for the whole body kit, if it is going to be for show, IMO.

Are these on the gs models too, or only gst/gsx.

Yeah but I dunno I don't seem to like any of the aftermarket bumpers or even the rear ones that much. The stock bumper is well rounded and I love the look. :D

Well I took a pic so you guys can see and kinda give me some advise on what you'd think look best.

Well i cant really see the side skirt it is too dark and too far away.

You can always leave the stock rear bumper, get aftermarket skirts. But hey its your car.

Like yeah I did lower it... bought the Tein S-Tech's and I now realize I should of went with the H&R due to their like the only ones that lower the front more than the rear (most like these lower it the same length).

But also I was shooting that pic from the ground so thats not exactly how it looks if you were to be beside it.

i am getting a blitz type 2. they seem to be very popular. was suppose to have that long ago when i ordered the entire kit, but morons sent the wrong year version for the side skirt. so i ama get that put on eventually most likely this summer.

I like how it looks now actually... I'd say keep it.

I don't like the amount of eclipses that have the blitz kit on it. There are way too many and it is playing the kit out. Thats why I have the quwhees kit. You don't see too many cars with that now do you?

yeah... i partially agree with you duckydsp, that's why for the front bumper i went with the Strada F1 kit. give it a different and unique look.

If i were ever to get a kit it would be quwhees. How many people even know what that is... that is what is nice about it. :biggrin:

Also is fiberglass safe to mold? When the kit goes on the car I'd surely like to get it molded on for that clean look.

And one last thing, how durable is fiberglass anyway? I see a bunch of Civics and Tegs with crappy kits and their color is run down and scratched up, just look weak...

Or if they make them in that other material, starts with a "p", poly something - I guess thats probably what the car is made out of stock.

Hehe no blackouts or anything like that anywhere besides regular window tint. That pic sucks and it was dark so I guess it makes it seem that way though.

I just have one more major concern that I didn't bring up yet. And that is that my rear is lowered pretty good and so if I go over a bump or a turn quick, the tire will hit the metal wheel well or whatever it's called. So if it were to be made of fiberglass, I'm worried if it ever hits it, it will crack of course. Right now I'm got a hammer and bending it upward so that it will have less of an impact. But if I get fiberglass, what would I be able to do?

I don't wanna make the wrong choice again. Because these Tein S-Tech's springs I'm not digging that much, sure their comfortable, but the front needs more of a drop. So anyway looking into the H&R's now, but if I lower more of the front, then the same thing regarding the rear will probably be a concern.

Hehe I should probably ask that question in the Honda section or something, where theres a lot of people with body kits. :D
