At the gym Alex and I go to (LA Fitness) they have a little juice bar off to the side of the entrance. Once or twice a week we'll get a smoothie for a treat after an hour and a half of working out. They also have "supplements" they add..like "fat burner", "energy booster" or "stress relief". I usually get the stress releif since I can't really have stimulants (minor heart condition). Alex orders energy booster. Last night we ordered our usual. The girl working the counter asked Alex is he wanted to add creatine ( stimulant) to his so he said OK. She then told us women shouldn't take creatine because men have more body mass and can handle it better...and blah blah. Well guess what...she was so engrossed in conversation about different supplements etc. she ended up switching our drinks! Later on I started feeling anxious/nervous and my heart was pumping hard, and I started feeling like I was gonna explode. Needless to say I was still up at 3 this morning trying to sleep, and dreading having to get up at 6:30. Well I did finally fall asleep but had no problem getting up when the alarm went off. It is noon here now and I am still feeling very much alive. :lol2:
WHAT THE HELL IS IN THAT STUFF????

Creatine is an amino acid and that's about as much as I know.

I heard that prolonged use of it is not very good for you.

That is what is believed but not proven. There have been no negative side effects found as of today if this supplement is used as part of a diet. I used it for about 2 months and I felt great all the time. I was afraid of becoming dependent so I stopped using it. Oh yea, you're welcome for the link. :D

I remember a discussion in a health n fitness forum a few months back that one of the side effects is headaches...something I don't need. It's better to take it when working out. Some people just take the stuff and then DON'T workout expecting the stuff to work. Same with Xenendrine...another stimulant, but less severe in my opinion.. I have used that before with mnimal problems but I went and exercised after using it so that I burned off that energy. The creatine is definitely way stronger.
I felt like I had this much energy last nite and still today........
:dogpile:
Instead of :flash:
But still kinda scary cuz I don't like messing around when it comes to the heart.

My brother used to use Creatine and he would always get pretty sick when he would use it. I refuse to, I feel it is damaging to certain body parts like your liver and kidneys. I'll never use it.

The creatine i have is in pill form and you're supposed to take it 3 times a day with meals. i haven't even taken a pill in over a month. all it does is gives you a slight energy boost and after your workout it helps the muscle cells repair faster so you can workout more often without overstimulating and damaging your muscles.
i don't think that it gives you that much of an energy boost to keep you up all night. maybe its just how it reacts to your heart condition and that you're a girl. i might have to start using it again because every time i work out its with guys twice my size and i'm always sore after.

its not that bad for you if you cycle it..(ie.take for a month, stay off for a month) Also drink a LOT of water with it
I took it, gained about 15 lbs in waterweight in about 2 weeks, and eventually lost about 7 lbs of that the following months after taking it.
the main issue about creatine for me, is it made me piss like a racehorse.
hell its about time for another cycle:)
