02 Caravan Engine Light On

On Monday, March 1st @ approx. 4:30 am the engine light came on after my van was started and had idled for a few minutes. The light is still on and now my wife reported the van had died off while she was driving the next day. She was pulling away from a stop light, accellerating to about 10-15 mph when she said the van jerked slightly then just shut down, engine cut off, power steering cut off but the a/c and other instrument lights stayed on. She was able to restart w/o problems on the second try of turning the ignition. I checked & could find no burnt fuses or grounded/frayed wires. The weather had been rainy and humid the day the engine light came on. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Well, no replies to my post. :mad: Thanks anyways, the light has since gone off. I can only attribute it to being the rainy and humid weather that we've had lately.

I do see others who have posted after me and gotten replies. Is there something else I need to do (send money to mods :2cents: J/K) to get some help?

Well, my engine light has come on again. It goes off for a few days and then comes back on. Any one have any ideas?? Any suggestions/help would be helpful.

my best guess is that wire that connects onto the O2 sencer is occationally making contact. I'd check there first. Its located on the exaust heat sheild right in the front of the engine compartment.

We just had are van in the shop for engin light. after $200 they found a bad vaccum hose. It was about 2 inches long and it looked bad. This was not covered under extended the warrenty. That was the big rub to me. We have the v-6 eng. and they told me it was on the top of the engin under somethings. Hope this Helps.
