Hello everyone! I'm a new user here, and seems like there are a lot of Tibby owners here! I like my 2000 Tiburon. It's a 4 cylinder, 138 HP, manual tranny. Nice vehicles!! My question is this: Does anyone know how to...OR have they installed the rear speakers (the ones located near the back seat)? I have a set of 6x9's and do not know how to take the grills off of the vehicle to re-install my new 6x9's. Can someone help?
thanks!

very simple.
pry out the speaker grill from the top edge only because if you pry it out from the bottom some of the hooks may break. after that fold the grill downward and remove it.
also check out the forums at www.rdtiburon.com. it is made specifically for our year tiburons.

Thanks tibby01 for the help. I wonder if I could get some more help? *lol* Can you tell me how to remove the factory speakers in the front doors? I do have the autolock thingy, to where if I lock the door on the driver side, it also locks the passenger side. I'm not sure if all Tibs were made that way, or what? This is my first Tiburon. Thanks for your help!

yeah, they are all like that.
there is a cover on the handle that you have to remove(maybe two), and there are screws behind that.
there is also one in the door handle indention. then just pull the inside part of the door off the rest of it from the bottom. it is held in by clips that will pop off.

Well, I removed the screws that you describe, and pry'd the door off of the hinges or whatever they are! Its late at night and i'm too tired to think! So anyway, the top part is the part that I'm afraid to pull off...is it normally hard to pull off or what? i took off every screw i found that surrounds the outside of the paneling....and pried....but the top part was kind of difficult at coming off, so i was afraid to mess it up..so i put the screws back on!

after you pop all the clips off, pry off that little plastic triangle peice that is where the side view mirror is(its also held in by clips that pop).
then pull UP on the door. it should slide right out of the window groove.
