Hiya,
Just bought my first rx-7, 87 na with 108 thou mi on it. White with a near perfect interior. Small dent on the right corner panel and thats it. Pretty good shape for 350 bucks! Anyway it wasent running and got her going today by pull starting it. Now it runs, and it idles nice when its cold, but i took her around the block then it started stalling on me while idling. But the big thing is after i pull started it there was a cloud of thick white smoke so big it looked like snoop was in town. i left a huge trail all the way back to the drive. my guess is a seal or a gasket. I know that 13bs are supposed to burn some oil, maybe that seal is blown. Im puting new rotors and brakes on it and changing all the fluids tomarrow.(i hear the man trans fluid is a pain to get in.) and flushing out the cooling sys and replacing the fuel filter. Also got new plugs (just two right?) and wires and wheel bearing grease. Anyone have any other suggestions on what i should take a look at, grease up, or replace while im at it, I want to make this car very reliable(i drive like 40 Mi to work every day). I bought a haynes manual cause i couldnt find the chilton. any advice anyone can give will be much appreciated. Thanks!
Donny

White smoke indicates coolant in the combustion cycle. NOT GOOD. A seal may be blown, in which case you need a rebuild ASAP.
