tire problems with 17's

about a year ago i put 17's on my 2000 hyundai elantra and since i have had to change the tire 2 and a half times and am in need of replacing the front two again. what is going on? we cant figure out what is going on and this is getting expensive. I currently have falkens, any suggestions> ty

why did you have to replace them. we cant answer such vague questions.

Generally you get much less mileage w/ low profile tires. It sounds like you have not rotated the tires (usually 6500 miles interval). 17" tires are not cheap, I know. Ideally you want to have even tire wear on all four tires. Proper tire balance and front wheel alignment should give you the specified tire warranty mileage. If you are not getting the rated mileage out of your tires, take them back to the shop for money back or new tires at pro-rated price.

i had that problem when i owen a 02 accent. the tires would rub on the plastic surronding in the wheel well. get your suspension checked out or lower your tire rating. i suggest 205 40 17 for yours as it will allow more space for your tires. if its not rubbing then you might need an alignment. hope this helps
