Query on light eyebrows

Did any other cars except the clinic car have eyebrows above the lights? Whilst looking through the centralcoastweb collection again, noticed thick black lines above the missing lights both sides. There are no makings on other close ups of Mclaren lights that would indicate it to do with the removal of the light unit (just that solid curved rectangular plate shaped part, that sits above the lights). Not the clinic car as it has indicators situated at the front and also a rear wing. However they don't seem long enough to be that.

Can anybody else see that? might just be me (it has gone 2am in the morning here!). sleep deprivation... might explain it.

XP1 was the only F1 besides the non-running Clinic Model to have eyebrows.
What you are seeing is a slot in the nose piece where the headlight cassette, or the small trim piece above it, slots into the nose piece.
If you look at this photo of #007 from the Turner Motorsports website, you can almost make out the same slots in it since the headlights and cover piece are removed.

Good eye though!

So it is, thanks for the insight. Whats strange is I have that picture of Franks 007 but missed the same thing on there. I'd always wondered why that small piece was a seperate part and not part of the body work.

Well lucky for me I had noticed it before in that photo of #007, so it clicked in my head right when I read your post. I don't quite understand the need for those seperate pieces either, but I guess they belong there for a reason.
