Ok my friend has an older neon like 94-97 somwhere in there i think. But he claims he is pushing 300 hp on a SOHC engine. the mods he has are exhaust, intake, and plug wires. I dont see how those powers gains are possible with those mods. I know he doesnt have anything else under the hood. So is that possible?

apc wires - 1 hp
apc sticker that came with the wires - 53 hp
apc intake - 2.2 hp
apc sticker that came with the intake that looks exactly like the other sticker - 57 hp
meGan racing exhaust - 6 hp
meGan racing sticker - 44 hp
with those mods, he got 163.2 hp to the wheels.
add that to the stock hp and it should put him close to 300 to the wheels.

You might be estimating the sticker HP gains a little too high :) Good thing you can just buy extra stickers.

Unless you think it is older than it really is, and it is really a newer srt-4. And even then, he would not be pushing close to 300 hp with exhaust, intake, and plug wires. But he might be at like 250-260 hp.

i believe he ment if he had the SRT-4 then he would be around 250-260hp with those upgrades and mods! atleast thats the way i understood it... yea there is no way you are goin to get a neon to 300hp without turbo or nitrous! or a different motor, period!!

sorry this is off the topic but i figured i'd let you in on the incident!
yea i was home sweet home and it was all good until the fucking cop shows up at the door!....
ok the thing was, this kid has been talking shit for a while now and saying how eclipses in general suck ass, and of course the n/t ones are worthless to him! he kept saying how he would kill me in a race and kept asking why i would never race him... oh and he has a Supra TT, not sure of the year but its pretty nice, so i said put some money down otherwise its a waste of my time! so the other day my friend(who he is friends with) calls me up and says he wants to race for $250, and it was a very beautiful day out so i said what the hell whats one day out of storage, its worth the $250. well we line up and go and he takes me by about a car and a half (didnt feel it was worth wasting the nitrous! :p ) so once i actually got the turbo spooled i kept catching him by about a car lenght every gear, well as soon as we passed the line which happened to be the next stoplight he was right on my rear bumper, well there was a cop at that stoplight waiting to cross and here we come doing about 110 mph by him, on comes the lights so i said fuck it i dont have insurance on it, there was no license plates, and i was already goin to get a ticket for reclace driving cause we were doin 110 in a 55, so we both kept goin, well it just happened that the next road that leads off the highway was about 5 miles ahead and when we got there, there was already a cop waiting for us (the town i live in is full of ricers/racers so the cops are on top of that shit constantly!) and he laid spikes down but only across half of the road and the other guy hit them and i kept goin, well he spun out and hit a tree in the ditch and i made it home just fine, got my car back in the garage, about a half hr later a cop is at my front door askin where i was earlier in the day and asking me where my car was, well i told him in the garage and he wanted to see it and i said no, 10 mins later he came back with a warrent, so i had to show him the car, and the engine was still hot as hell, so at that time i had "the right to remain silent, anything i say can and will be held against me in the court of law"! oh i was pissed, i swear to god that i am goin to break this kids legs or somthing for telling them where i lived! well after spending a night in county jail they let me go and i was able to go get my car, well later that day they came and towed it again cause they wanted to impound it for a month to teach me a lesson.... FUCK THE LAW!!! well that would be the scoop guys, anyone else in on a good beating! oh and the funny thing is, i got the $250 :smokin: but from what i hear the kid is still talking shit! complaining that he messed up in the race, BS!!
