i'm guessing you have a manual... keep the RPM's around 3000-3500 and feather the clutch out, whatever you do, DO NOT drop the clutch! that will just make the tires spin and it wont help you any!!! and when shifting into second also feather the clutch out cause you will get tire spin if you let it out too quickly... just practice, practice, practice, you will get the hang of it eventually!

no with the car in first and the clutch all the way in... press the gas and try to hold it between 3000-3500 RPM's then let the clutch out... but not too quick cause you dont want your tires to break loose and spin!

Wouldnt i have to let off the gas too?

no.... ok you have your left foot on the clutch pushed all the way in, and your right foot on the gas pushing that in a little ways so that your RPM's dont exceed 3500, then when you want to go, start to let the clutch out and as soon as you do that push the gas pedal all the way in... now you want to let the clutch out as quick as possible without making the tires spin!! so as soon as you start letting the clutch out step on the gas all the way!
