Remote range...

I have a 2001 Montana and was wondering if some of the people that frequent here could give me an idea of what the range should be. With my old Jeep Grand Cherokee I could set off the horn of that sucker from several rows away, but with this Montana, I pretty much have to be in sight of it - I would say somewhere around 20-25 foot maximum. Is this the norm? At first I thought maybe it was the batteries, but I changed it out and it still has the same limit.

Anyway, any advice would be appreciated.
