EGR Valve

I am trying to find the EGR valve on my 91 CRX HF with the 1.5 FI. I am following the Haynes manual but I can't find the thing. I desperately need to clean this because my car will not run once it warms up. Please any help would be appreciated.

its the easiest thing to find and it's not under anything. i'm doing this from memory.. it should be behind the oil cap and distributer. when i say behind i mean go towards the back.. not down behind the engine. so its between the block and the fuel injectors. its this silver thing with 2 clips. and you can remove it by removing 2 bolts. its bolted to the fuel injector things just before air enters into the engine.

Maybe I'm retarded but I just don't see it. I took some pics. DO you see it here?

i don't see it.. it should be connected to the intake valve before it goes into the block to the far left but i don't see it... is it an automatic? i think they only come on automatics but i'm not sure.

No it's a 5 speed. This is driving me crazy. I am positive that the valve is the problem but I can't find it to fix. AHhh.

from what im seeing your car isnt even an HF!yOU have a dx.The hf's have MPFI and you have DPFI.So dx's dont have an egr valve.

is the ecu throwing out an error code? it should be 12 for the egr valve problem. check that first. i have a 91 civic dx hatchback automatic and it has an egr valve.

So the DX doesn't have an EGR ok. SOrry guys I don't know why I put HF. THanks for all your help. No it's not throwing the CEL. It runs fine until the engine warms up then it chokes itself out and doesn't want to start again. I've had the fuel sytem checked and all is supposed to be ok there. I thought for sure it would be the EGR valve. Oh well back to square 1.

Main Relay!!!!!

Thanks T-mo I tried that today and still nothing. Time for it to go to the mechanic. What a headache. And I broke my dash changing the relay. AHHHH

Well it turned out to be my ignitor. What a pain.
