Well thank you for your honest opinion. Although You've never posted a chop. I believe that I will disreguard your feedback. There is a difference between photography and graphic manipulation. I think you should stick to what you know or at least say you know, your camera. If you can do better show me. If not, ZIP IT!

I don't do chops.

and lessee... the point of chops are too... make the car look like something different...retaining a photographic look.

If you can't do that, then why try? All you do is make it look obvious that you took it to photoshop. Your goal is to make it NOT look like that.

Disregard it all you want - you won't get better.

If you knew Vandie, you would understand (and respect) that his skills are not at all making the chop look "photorealistic." Nonetheless, his skills more aim toward making the car "badass." Go look at any of his chops and every single one looks photoshopped, but they are all still very good in other respects.

I don't respect anything that looks like a kid with a smudge tool went shop happy on it.

Very good? I don't look at much and I've seen much better.

I'm not a fan of bryan vandie. That said, Maybe you should do a few chops yourself. Before you criticise some one who obviously works damned hard on there chops.

Why should I do chops?
I can criticize all I want because I know photographic experience. And last I checked some of these people are trying to make them look photorealistic... I'm gonna point out rather obvious things that look off on them. It's their choice to disregard them or not.

I'm allowed to shoot off my fucking opinion without having to do chops myself.

Photographers get criticized ALL the god damn time by people who don't know the first thing about capturing a moment. You know what they do? They take it into consideration, note the constructiveness, and move on. You learn from criticism. What the fuck is someone going to learn if all they have is people going "fuck yeh d00d! l0lz". Nothing. I didn't fucking flame him - I told him what was wrong. You people take criticism way too fucking personally... if you can't take it - don't show your shit.

SHUT UP!!!
There is a huge difference between Clicking a button on a camera and creating a chop. With photography the subject exists. Simple point and shoot. Chopping is a skill a way of life. Photography is a hobby and any shmoe can pick up in his or her spare time. LEAVE VANDIE ALONE!! All these choppers in here take what you photographers do and improve on it. Guess you could say they're on a higher level THey are the next step In this form of media.

ok, everyone SHUT THE FUCK UP. this isn't the flame forums, it's the graphic manipulation forum. logic would dictate that were supposed to have fun, chop, and apply constructive critisism to eachother's chops. for example:

that's a pretty nice chop Bryan, but i only found two small problems with it. the rear wheel is little blurry and you can't see the other intercooler tube. other than that. other than that, it's perfect.

lol rofl... point and shoot.

Cole you're officially a fucking dumbass.

You have no idea how to take a good picture, so you can just shut your hole... ignorant ass. Chopping is not taking photography to the next level. Photographer's do their own version of photoshop - by hand. And they do it in the dark. You don't have the patience to do the shit I do.

I'm sure there other things you do in the dark room. You just tell people your a photographer so you and your animal companions can live a quiet life.

Right... so I'm paying 4 grand a year to go to the #1 Photojournalism school in the country, paying 60 bucks a semester to use the lab... just so I can fuck animals?

Kid, chopping takes nothing but sitting in front of a computer. The pictures you just sit around deforming to your own whims are the works of people who spend hours upon hours looking for the right light, the right picture, plus the hour or 2 more it takes to hand process and print it in the lab. Don't tell me you're taking anything to the next level - if anything all you're doing is destroying it.

All I can say to you is $4,120 a year is a waste of money. Considering Photographers are a dime a dozen. Plus Who wants to learn an ancient skill like manual photography. The darkroom is a Taking the backseat to DIGITAL. By the time you finish college all that knowledge will be useless. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!! Sorry bub, You're wasting your time.

Just stating my last opinion -

Digital or Film

It's all photography. I don't see it as a waste of my money considering, like I said, it's the #1 photojournalism school in the country. Digital or Film - it's all through a lense.
