NOS question

Does having NOS harm an engine other than the obviousness of being able to blow it completely. Like does it deterierate seals or anything else? Here is an example, what if one of my piston rings fail and the NOS and oil mix, what could happen?

nos is nitrious oxide gas it is inert it is not flamable. nos is a coolant that adds a ton of horse power. the horses blow the engine not the mixture. if you blew a piston ring and oil mixed with the gas it wouldn't mean a hill of beans.

So in the end the only danger in using it is being able to blow the engine if it can't take the horses. Many thanks, my next step is getting a Dry shot of NOS set up for my car.

First thing I did was check out NOS's site to see if they make a kit for my ride, you should do that first, or check any other nos manufacturer.. And as far as safe you should beuild your car up to the point where it's fast enough without it, that's usually the best time to get it.. To be completely safe that is lol

ok first of all nos doesnt even give you the max hp boost you can get from a nitrous kit, if i was you i'd got with zex or nitrous express, i prefer nitrous express, and its the compression that would blow your pistons or w/e, two much compression would be from over rev/to high rpms. so if you shift bad dont get it.
