Car still runs when not off

My 1985 porsche 944 still runs for a minute when shut off. It isn't a turbo but it has the turbo rear difusers, so I don't know if it was a turbo at one time and was then converted or what. If anyone has the same issue tell me.

sounds like a ecu/dme or timing issue...

Your car was definetly NOT converted, but i would also look into the fuel system as well as what YeTi said.

If you have the turbo rear diffusers...then I would like to know if they mount easily onto your 944 bumber (I kinda want to put these on my car if I decide to supercharge as dicussed in another thread). As for the engine running thing.....I know this maybe way off, but the radiator fans in the 944 continue to run for about 30 seconds after the car is turned off, and if the car was hot and both fans are on, it can be somewhat loud (louder than my brother's sedan when his motor is actually on). I know that some of my friends at school have also asked me if my car was still running after I get out of the car and I have to tell them its just the fans...of course I haven't heard yours, nor do I know how long you've owned the car/how familiar you are with it, so this might not be what you are refering to at all.

Maybe your car is running very hot and diesaling.

bad ignition switch maybe?

A minute is an awful long time to be dieseling
