Ok, so I never did any real heavy putty modifications, but Antonio got me a silvia S15 kit (Aoshima) so I thought I would try a hand at modifying it.. modifications so far are:
-new front valance
-front chin spoiler
- front winglets
- sideskirts
- side winglets
- rear winglets
- modified rear skirt
- hood vents
- new rear view mirrors
going to put an intercooler into the front valance ;) make it d r i f t style.
tell me what you think:

Damn that is bada**! That is a freakin tight front bumper! How long did it take you to modify the Blitz Chaser bumper to fit the S15? Bumper looks wonderful! Good work!

not bad!
If it were me I'd extend the front bar slightly (ie lengthen the sides) and add a section to close some of the gap between it and the hood (aka stock S15) otherwise it looks like a S14..

And one other thing that has been bugging me- 1:1 S15's physically can't fit big, low offset, deep dished rims without fender widening. In fact they run an offset of around +35mm on their standard rims which is bordering on a front wheel drive car style offset.
Most of the VIP cars running such rims are based around older designs that run fairly low offset rims anyway, hence the ability to make them fit.
Bottom line? mega deep dish rims like the two above are far from realistic looking on any S-chassis, except perhaps the S13s which run a wheelarch/wheel offset combo that severely underuses available space for wheel track.
Just a suggestion.
I'd probably go with Advan RG's, TE37's, Racing Hart CR's (if you've gotta have dish) , AVS model 5's or something for that car.

Hmm.. I don't know very much about Silvia's, espcially their racing wheels set up, but I got to tell you that I have a sports car. It uses a 35mm offset and I have 18X9.5 rims in the back with a crazy 3 inch lip... and I can still fit 265/35/18 tires in the rear.
I have over 350lbs of torque and over 325 rwhp in my 1:1 and it works just fine. my bolt pattern is 5X112, 35mm and I run no spacer. my car is only 1.5inches (4-5cm) off the ground and I am runnign a very agressive suspension set up.. but my wheel set up is not rubbing even in extreme situations. so I am not sure, why the 35mm wheel would not fit with a large lip.... but ITS A MODEL :lol2:
so I think I am going to with OPERA OZ, just to make in not realistic ;)

Fair enough, the benz probably has plenty of room in the guards - Silvias don't, thats all I wanted to point out - unfortunately your build got to be the thread where I ranted :D sorry!
I just think it looks kinda silly on S15 models, but thats me. It is just a model, and we do build for ourselves.
Kepe going with it, should be good once its in paint.

SLK,
I really like that front bumper treatment, very tasteful. Looks like you had no problems getting it on. I admire your putty skills man. That hood vent is killer, wish I could do that!! Can't wait to see it painted.
Save those rims for a Benz or sedan!
You need a nice open rim to show off some huge binders :naughty:

here is my progress so far. painted the body two tone, black and jade green...seemed like a natural choice breaking up the color along the door and body edge mouldings.

my 265s are not rubbing at all...no cutting no rolling. The fenders on the r170 are wider then w202, so its less problem to run wider rear tires..
Brabus kit, yeah.
