Welp, since the weather is nice and only going to get better, i pulled the tranny (86,000 miles on it) thats been headed to hell for a long time now and im discovering a few other problems. Firstly, we are expecting a move soon (who knows when really) and i accidently packed my book.
Looks like ill need a new bearing/hub on the pass. side and a tie rod end (already done other side tie rod end when i did struts last summer).
I have a couple basic questions that might be in my packed up book, grrrr.
Im going to do the ball joints while im at all this. I got the tranny out but havent taken the A arms off yet. Are the ball joints pressed in?
And, if i have to remove the A arms to get new ones pressed in, how do i get the wheel speed sensor off? I pulled the bolt out of one of them but thats about as far as i could get. I was in fear that i might wrecked it trying to get it to come apart so i just left it. It looks like i might have to remove the bolt and the whole sensor willslide out, but im a scardy cat.
The wheel bearing/hub setup. It looks like i might have to but the whole bearing assembly, as these dont look like new bearings can be put it.
Thanks!
