Oil Pressure Question

My oil pressure reads 130psi on my 2001 3.5 engine and I know this can't be right does anyone know whats wrong and what I do to correct it? I'm thinking it's a shorted sensor or maybe a bad one. Where is it located and how do you test one?
Thanks

probably need to replace the sensor for it. I haven't had one go out on my Aurora yet but I did on a Grand Am. That was simple to replace, I am unsure of the Aurora if that is your case. The one on my Grand am did the same thing, the gage would peg everytime I started it. Maybe Indy8 could help out a little more on this one.

Sorry, I have no idea on this one. I have always advised that anyone attempting DIY work should breakdown and get the factory service manuals. Yes, I know they're expensive, but it's the best 100 or so bucks you'll ever spend. The Haynes/Chilton manuals were fine for vehicles manufactured through the 80's to early 90's, but after that there's no substitute for the FSM.

I have the exact same oil pressure issue with my 2001 3.5l aurora. Engine seems to be running fine. Has anyone figured anything more out?
