i am new.. I have a 1993 escort 1993 1.9L my heater only half works. 1 and 2 work 3 just went out yesterday and 4 has never worked.. i have been told its the heater reisister is bad.. i only know its in some plug under under dashboard on passenger side.. and if that is what the problem is where i can i get it at?? thanks!

Under the passenger side dash, next to the blower motor you will find the resistor. If you are unsure what the blower looks like just turn the blower on and stick your head down there to locate it.
The resistor is a small unith that has two elctrical connectors and is simply mounted with two bolts.
Hmm... I guess if you have bought the new resistor you should already know what it looks like... it is simply a matter of unplugging it and removing two bolts..... bolt the new one in and plug it back in. Should take you all of five minutes.

ok thank you i dont have the resister though. i plan on going to a junkyard and getting one there maybe.

I don't know for fact, but I would assume this resistor would bea very inexpensive part to get at an auto parts store.

ok thanks i found it but had to go threw the dealer ship. its 15 dollers. thanks for your help
