I drive a 2000 Camaro... It's an automatic, but I really enjoy a manual shift... is there any way to have the transmission replaced to make it manual... and if so, around how much do you think it would cost?

its very possible, seeing as the car was originally offered with either. cost you a trans, clutch, pedal, assembly, linkage, and a few other odds and ends im not sure off. best bet would be to get a junkyard doner with the manual, and swap everything. shouldnt cost too much if you do it that way.

Do you know doing this will cause a bunch of problems or not?

GOOD QUESTIONS!! I want to swap my auto over too, never looked into it though. The biggest question I have if anyone can answer it is what has to be done with the computer or computers? I am so sensless with that stuff!
And please keep me informed of how it goes! I know I will swap mine over someday, and it would be nice to get some knowledge from someone who does it already! oh by the way, I have a 98 Z28. And you can email me if you want at [email protected] with any updates you get! THANKS MILLIONS! I'll keep looking around too when I get chances to to try to help you.
try camaroz28.com I think they have a lot more viewers on the message boards!

dont think it will cause any problems, but i would expect the normal gremlins that pop up whenever you do any major changes to a vehicle. little things like lining everything up right, getting the mounting points where they were from the factory, that kinda stuff.
