2nd day at track

well this time i ran my car at a different track than i ran in the fall so its hard to compare times..ill be runnin at the track i ran in the fall this weekend so ill post the times then...
1/4 mile
best time backed up twice..was a
15.144 at 93.74 mph
60' ....2.5(shitty launch) best 60'was a 2.3
1/8..9.99 at 74 mph

this track was hard to keep traction on...my bolt ons and gutting seem to help bump up my speed
at the other track in the fall my best time was 15.2 at 90 mph

any one know what tires are good launchin (not slicks though)???
really tryin to pull some decent 60 foot times...ihave 15 inch wheels..

what track did you run at? what does your car look like? was this at capitol raceway?

yes it was cap...and its white...what color is your car...i saw..some old civics..a brown onewith a b16...and a couple red hatches(91 or so)

oh yea i think your crx was dirty right??(like it had not been washed in a while)and i think i saw you run against a nissan ser (new one spec v)..he ran a 14.9 u ran a 15.0...am i right??

should have looked before i posted...i just remembered and looked back later

it was dirty but i didnt run against the ser i ran against a yellow gt mustang and a black formula but i did run a 15.0 at 90mph my best r/t of the day was a .534 and a best 60' of 2.2

Is it just me or does it seem like chuckhatch and civicHBsi91 would be a good close race?

well on one side i have a nitto 450's and on the other michillen's the 450's are radials so i didnt really want to put one on the wrong side but i think im gonna put them on the back *car came like this*

and i didnt technically launch it at all if i did it was at like 1,100-1,300rpms and just stomped it off the light after i got rollin alittle

next time ill deff see 14's i went up there with a full tank of gas *stupid i know* and i should have my new springs on by then maybe they will help some and i might play with tire pressure

so what are some good track tires.???for me??i not real in tune with small stuff like that ...but it does seem to be important...also what is better 14 's or 15's with radials....??

either or but you dont want to low of a profile for the tire and get like alittle wider tire than you have now, everyone goes for the azenis cuz they are real cheap and hook good

right now i got 195/50/15...wat is the widest tire i could get???im rollin on 15 inc honda steelies

...when did they start to make 15" steelies? accords or soemthing? you could probably go as wide at 205

if it was accords it wouldnt work though would it? accords are 4 on 113 and tegs/civs are 4 on 100 If im not mistaken.

i dunno, just dont think they came on civics...so i was thinking big car, i know the v6 models have 5 lug and preludes have 5 idunno??

well I know my 97 accord LX had 4x113 and my 94 teg and civic have 4x100. luckily ADR's are dual drilled so I was able to go back and forth between whatever car I wanted to drive. thats the only good thing about the dual drilled though, I dont like having the 4 empty holes there.

could be wrong but i think they came of of a 2000 or 2001(maybe newer)civic...i got them for free but they def came off of a civic b/c the dude had 2000 civic si wheels put on in their place...
