its for show, show, show. im doing little stuff to the car looks wise now while im also putting money aside for a swap........im thinking hopefully an SiR2 swap or maybe a GS-R swap, also wanna switch to manual.
and yes im going to tint the windows........dunno if i should just do limo black on the rear windows and just plain dark on the front or if i should mess around with the silver mirror finish tint. I havent decided yet.
thanks for the feedback so far, keep it comin, im always looking to hear and/or see new ideas

Yah I have to agree. I would never go bigger than 17's on a Civic. The rims just look oversized. The flip flop trunk I'm not really feeling either. I think you should swap out your 18's for 17's and put that puppy to the floor. Looks like you're still sitting at stock ride height in that pic even though there isn't a trace of wheel gap.

looks nice and clean, I'd honestly go so far as back to 16" wheels, but that's the race mentality talking. Are those wheels white or silver btw? they look white and kinda goofy in the pic.

they are silver, i would never be caught with white rims although my friends neon in the pic has white 17 inch ADR's. lol i bought my rims and tires from my friend for $500. the rims themselves are $1200 and $450 shipped for the kumhos (whalentire.com). i wanted 17s but i figured what the hell, i just got a set of 18's with tires for $500, ya know? i know the rims are too big, and having them wrapped in 225/40's doesnt help either but i like the way they look. as far as it being stock height..............wrong, i dropped it as far as it would go, not to mention i am still going to shave the fender lip so i can drop it more still and the inside lip wont f up the rubber. hey, im up to trade for 17s if anyones interested or something, my 18s fit 4 lug accords too JSYK. thanks again for the comments................im still learning, only owned an import for about a year so far so keep the info coming

I like the car so far. Only thing am not digging is the huge wing on the other car (No offense to whoever owns it, I just dont like 'em wings).
18's for show would be okay I guess. But for daily driving, ride must be shitty.

Why does the car look like its kinda leaning away from the camera?

Body drop it and slam it on bags, since your going for show, why not, and that's the only way to make rims that damn big not look wrong on a Civic I'd never go that route myself, but you're not me. Have fun.

kudos to that. Also, try to think of some wierd original ICE you could do, like a wierd ass mount job or something. Just so the car has its own original flare. Right now its fairly common (not that I'd expecting anything crazy, since you just started working on it) with the run-of the mill bolt ons. Once you start hacking at the car to make big ass wheels work though, I think it'll really start looking like a clean show car.

holy damn it does look like it's leaning....
93DXon18s
03-03-2004, 09:28 AM
lol it is leaning. when i lowered the car the first time, i didnt adjust the camber right and it wore my brand new front tires down to the belt............in a week! i havent ordered new Kumho's yet but i decided to take a few pics of my car the other day so i only put rims on one side, the other side has the stock 13s...........hence the leaning. thats also why i only have that view of the car. just wanted to get a pic up to see what people thought so far. i have another question tho..........i was thinking of getting a widebody kit so i could drop my car more and the rims and tires would tuck under the fender when i go over small bumps or potholes, would i be able to do this with a wide kit or am i insane? also, how good are bump stops? i have a set of Bilstein struts which im thinking of using with my stock springs and i read that bumpstops help the suspension from traveling too much and since ive got 18s for daily driving i was thinking this would maybe help. should i use bumpstops or shouldnt i? thanks again

Not bad I like it! Maybe lower it bit more or get an entire body kit to close the distance between your car and the ground.

I know ive got a long way to go but im tryin like hell to get there. I do know what u mean by the rims tho, just in my city alone ive seen like 4 or 5 civics with the same exact rims.......mine are just bigger lol

my bad man, i was pissed off earlier when i was on here and i just decided to blow off some steam and it happened to be on here. actually, those rims are pretty sweet, but why are they so hard to find? and what do they run? the only thing i dont like about them is the red lip, id go with a silver polished lip or str8 gunmetal for the whole thing. like i said, my bad for being an ass earlier. lemme now how or where or if i can get them and then when i do, ill post pics of the ppls faces when they see me ride by lol
