this guy has them with skunk coilover kit. .926g is pretty good so the shocks must be good?
thanks in advance

I've seen good results and I've seen bad results from KYBs. Neuspeed Race springs are kind of extreme, and I'd go for better struts such as Tokico Illuminas or Koni Sports.

ugg koni sports are expensive:( . illuminas, really? those are just damper adjustable right? not hieght? correct me if im wrong.
what about blistein. not too expensive. good quality. in a scc magizine theres a neuspeed ad that even says they are height adjustable. i cant find that anywhere else though

I have the Bilstein/Neupeed coilovers.
It has the neuspeed race springs with specially valved threaded body bilstein shocks.
I would say the Bilstein sports would be more than up for the job.
The AGX are a bit more flexable with a drop like that than the Illuminas. The Illuminas will take it but the AGX will perform better, I know several people that auto x using the AGX with race type springs and are successful.

KYB does not warrant the AGX for lowering lower then 1.5".

None of the out of the box shocks really warranty shit.
you ever had to have your shocks replaced under warranty anyway?
They don't cover anything, unless the place you got them from is good.

so devoris, do you think I would be risking it if I got kyb's with my 2.5'' drop?

I do... Ive heard many peeps talking about blown Kybs.. I personally wouldnt do it, but its your money.. Do you want to take the risk... Blow it out in a month and have to get another one or 2... If your going to have to buy a couple youd have been better off saving and getting some Konis afterall... But Ill let you decide that.

This is the problem, with all out of the box setups, how does one gauge what will work and not work. I can't tell you how long it will last, that is impossible, rather I can tell you the desired effect of the combo, from experience. Anything over 2" is puuting your shocks at risk, be it Tockico, or KYB, like I said, they will handle it, for how long is up to your driving style.
If you want the guarentee that your combo will last, the either you should consider a slight drop no more than 1.5" or get a kit with specially valved threaded body shocks, and springs with rates designed for the shocks (true coilovers)
The AGX will perform better than the Illuminas from my experience with stiffer springs, like Neuspeed, or sportlines.
Longevity I can't honestly tell you.
